BRLH-30 Components

Description

The ETHERMA BRLH heating loop is suitable for free laying, particularly for curvatures, curves and anywhere where laying geometry is required.

The dipole heating conductor has an outer insulation that is very sturdy and impact resistant – even under heavy mechanical strain. Because of their resistance to UV-rays, BRLH heating loops can also be used as roof gutter heaters in metal roof gutters. Heating conductor and cold end are asphalt-compatible!

Nominal rated temperature – rolled asphalt: 180 °C/45 min
Nominal rated temperature – mastic asphalt: 240 °C/35 min

Application

For installation in mastic asphalt, rolled asphalt, fluid concrete, site concrete, concrete monolith, in sand and mortar beds and under paving/cobble stone.

Installation

A shallow installation gives a safe and efficient system

There is a proportional relationship between the installation depth of the heating cables, the heating response time and the operating costs. The deeper the heating cables are embedded, the longer the heating time until the defrost surface temperature reaches 3°C. A shallow installation is therefore essential for safety and to ensure lower operating costs.

Heating requirements

Depending on the application: the entire area can be heated which is usually the case in public areas; or for private installations, focused heating is often sufficient to keep a lane free which saves on installation and running costs.

Heating capacity

The required heating capacity per m² of surface area depends on the installation depth, the characteristics of the surface material, and the local climatic conditions.

Intelligent controls

Intelligent open area heating control detects the temperature and humidity of the surface and calculate the heating required, thus ensuring a fully automated, safe and cost-optimized use of the system.

The sensor records the current temperature and the snowfall. In order to switch on the heating, the ambient temperature has drop below the set temperature and the set humidity has to be exceeded. This saves operating costs.
