Challenge of conservatory heating
Having spent the time, effort and money building a conservatory, or bought a house that already has one, it’s only right that you can enjoy it all year round. However in reality, during the winter months and on cooler spring and autumn days many conservatories are too cold to sit in.
Conservatories have unique heating requirements due to their glass structure, large number of exterior walls and high ceilings which exacerbate heat loss. Heat escapes through double glazed conservatory windows eight times faster than it does through a conventional cavity wall which means choosing an energy efficient heating solution for a conservatory is arguably more important than in any other room in the house.
Type of infrared heating required
The type of conservatory heating required depends on how often you intend to use your conservatory during these colder periods.
