Description
ETHERMA NST is an extremely resistant netted heating mat for operation in inner- and outer areas. It’s a factory-made, ready to-use netted heating mat with Teflon inner- and outer insulation. This netted heating mat is due to the outer sheath chemically resistant and therefore excellently suitable for installation in chemically aggressive areas such as public toilets, pools or paint shops where strong cleaning agents are used. Due to the Dipole completion an easy fitting is guaranteed.
Furthermore the ETHERMA NST is also suitable for installation in free space under tiles in flexible adhesive or various thin coats. This enables an especially flat fitting for the reconstruction of ramps, foot paths and access roads.
Application
Public areas, swimming pools or spas
ETHERMA NST is excellently suitable for the use in spas because aggressive cleaning agents could affect the PVC-heating cable through the joints in the course of time.
But the ETHERMA NST is resistant against these chemical effects due to the Teflon outer insulation and guarantees a long working life.
Public toilets, animal breeding
These sites are exposed to extreme chemical strain and because of the NST covering – acid and excrement can’t do any harm – so the ETHERMA NST is the ideal and perfect solution.
Free space heating under tiles or thin covering
The extreme flat fitting enables the NST perfectly to keep terraces, gateways, entrance areas, rescue services or parking garages free from snow and ice.
Installation
A shallow installation gives a safe and efficient system
There is a proportional relationship between the installation depth of the heating cables, the heating response time and the operating costs. The deeper the heating cables are embedded, the longer the heating time until the defrost surface temperature reaches 3°C. A shallow installation is therefore essential for safety and to ensure lower operating costs.
Heating requirements
Depending on the application: the entire area can be heated which is usually the case in public areas; or for private installations, focused heating is often sufficient to keep a lane free which saves on installation and running costs.
Heating capacity
The required heating capacity per m² of surface area depends on the installation depth, the characteristics of the surface material, and the local climatic conditions.
Intelligent controls
Intelligent open area heating control detects the temperature and humidity of the surface and calculate the heating required, thus ensuring a fully automated, safe and cost-optimized use of the system.
The sensor records the current temperature and the snowfall. In order to switch on the heating, the ambient temperature has drop below the set temperature and the set humidity has to be exceeded. This saves operating costs.
